THE LAST “JIMMY” OVAL HOLE ARCHTOP GUITAR -1979 – #53-057100 PREVIOUSLY OWNED BY ENGLISH HAGSTRÖM COLLECTOR DAVID COX

Guitar #53-057100 was the last Oval Hole Jimmy crafted by Hagström in the third run of oval hole “Jimmys”.  These instruments are the same materials and dimensions as the better known ‘F’ hole “D’Aquistos” except there is one floating pickup and the controls are mounted on the pickguard to allow the top to resonate freely.  As #251 out of the 251 Oval hole Jimmy’s made this is truly a collector’s instrument.  It is in excellent condition and has a period correct hard-shell case.

Noted English collector and Hagström aficionado David Cox, of Hagstrom.org.uk fame, sold this instrument to John Haskin.  John wanted to pair this guitar up with the first Jimmy Oval Hole that Hagström produced.  John loved pairs, sets, and instruments connected in some way.  I know John would be pleased to sell them as a pair: Make us an offer!
