1965 Hagstrom Bass – Blue – #611418

$0.00

This is a very nice example of a wooden body Hagström Bass.  It was made in the transition period from the plastic front H-I’s and the solid wood H-II’s. It has the same shape as the earlier guitars, but introduces the bevel on the body found on the later production. This instrument looks great and plays well.  It appears as if it is one that John Haskin had restored, which would account for its pristine looks.  All the controls work properly and there is a new set of D’Addario strings on the instrument. It comes in an older hard case.

The body is beautiful and in near mint condition. Either John thought the neck was good enough to not require refinishing, or he hadn’t gotten around to it.  Either way, you will notice in the photos the neck shows some “dings” and wear consistent with a 57-year-old instrument.  I didn’t find that it interfered with the instrument’s playability but I wanted to point it out.  Don’t hesitate to contact us if you need additional information or have questions.
